| Hmm, might as well accomplish what I hadn't done before: making an intro thread.
I'm Rez, from the Philippines, 23 years old, and I'm an avid fan of Japanese culture especially anime and manga.
My occupation is a seafarer, sailing all over the deep blue ocean, and anime is my sole companion in my room during my free time, and pretty much my hobby. Also I spend my time reading manga and regular books while listening to alternative, pop, and J-Pop (preferably anime OPs-EDs) music, or doing Photoshop and playing games on my lappy.
I had my first exposure to anime with Voltes V and Doraemon, and treated it as well as the rest as 'cartoons' until during my highschool years, with which I became a fan of shounen anime like Yu Yu Hakusho, Flame of Recca, and Dragon Ball. It was until in college when I got my first taste of moe in K-On, and as well as its slice-of -life theme, which strikes me as very calm and refreshing.
My preference for genres may widely vary, and I watch pretty much anything from kid's to adult/mature demographics, but the slice-of -life genre holds a special place for me above all else, and comedy comes at a close second. I can recommend you some anime that I think are great for you, and one holler is enough for me to help you.
Also I wanna thank my friend Ramiro back in another forum for inviting me, and for you all for giving me the chance to experience being a moderator. That said, I will be doing my best to contribute to this forum.
