As suggested by me already, here's something I thought our hobbies sec missed: a baking thread ta-daah xD
post recipes here and discuss them if you want. I start wi my favorite, an easy and tasty chocolate cake:

Take
300g flour
375 g sugar
2 small spoons of soda
250 g butter or 160 ml oil
4 eggs
1/4l cream
50 g cocoa

mix it together, if you want, separate solids and fluids to mix and put them together later, if you're in a hurry, it works fine without xD

put a glass of sour cherries in the dough after putting it on a baking sheet

put it into the oven for 15-20 minutes at around 180°C without preheat

you can variate this recipe greatly by using different fruits or using spices instead of or alongside the cocoa

//NOTE: I wrote this down without having the recipe here, memory only xD

better not try until I checked if sth's missing in a few hours xD

//EDIT: didn't forget anything, surprisingly lol

But didn't you know that time and effort makes the cookies taste extra delicious.

Honestly this thread makes me want to cook less.
Lets make Kathy bake cookies for us... Just kidding.

But I do can say that all this recipes will help specially if we want a taste the foods of foreign countries or countries where our friends are at. Now enough going of topic and post those recipes or stuff related to cooking.

I thought I could liven up this thread, maybe together with kat xD
starting off with my last one, strawberry cake xD (pm me for the exact recipe, I'm just giving you some mouth-watering pictures here Razz)

First you make a biscuit-dough base for the cake and cut it in half (just use any biscuit dough fit for this, I chose to add a bit of cocoa for the looks)
already cut:
If you want, add a few drips of juice or liquor (only a few drips!) to the base, I took an amaretto/lemon juice mix, then cover the bottom piece with strawberry jam
took a bit too much I think lol:
now put about a third of the cream (in my case, cream and quark with sugar and a few strawberry slices)
here:
add the less good-looking strawberries, save the good ones for the decoration
there:
put the second third on top
don't worry, doesn't have to look great, that's later:
close the cake with the top piece
should fit :
take the remaining cream (didn't add strawberry slices to that)
and cover the cake completely:
add the best strawberries
I did it in a ring around, but really, it's up to you:
place the queen of strawberries in the middle and add some finishing touches (chocolate chips for me, just a few though):
