I thought I could liven up this thread, maybe together with kat xD
starting off with my last one, strawberry cake xD (pm me for the exact recipe, I'm just giving you some mouth-watering pictures here
)
First you make a biscuit-dough base for the cake and cut it in half (just use any biscuit dough fit for this, I chose to add a bit of cocoa for the looks)
- already cut:
If you want, add a few drips of juice or liquor (only a few drips!) to the base, I took an amaretto/lemon juice mix, then cover the bottom piece with strawberry jam
- took a bit too much I think lol:
now put about a third of the cream (in my case, cream and quark with sugar and a few strawberry slices)
- here:
add the less good-looking strawberries, save the good ones for the decoration
- there:
put the second third on top
- don't worry, doesn't have to look great, that's later:
close the cake with the top piece
- should fit :
take the remaining cream (didn't add strawberry slices to that)
- and cover the cake completely:
add the best strawberries
- I did it in a ring around, but really, it's up to you:
place the queen of strawberries in the middle and add some finishing touches (chocolate chips for me, just a few though):
