Earbuds or Headphones?

Do you prefer to wear earbuds or headphones and why?

I love my headphones. The subway is always noisy and I find that headphones block out outside noise better than earbuds do. I also prefer headphones because they're far more sanitary when it comes to letting others use them. The idea of sharing earwax... I dunno. It's kinda nasty XD

What about you guys?

overall, i prefer headphones because it has better base sound and like u said it blocks off the sound from outside.   it just sounds better.  ^^  and usually, there more expensive quality to purchase as well.  ^O^

I like headphones better since they usually have better sound quality. I'm using Audio Technica M-50s right now and I have to say they are very good for the price. They are comfortable and sound great.
Con is that they are pretty big and not portable. So when I'm at home, I prefer headphones.

If I'm on the go, I like to use in-ear headphones, the ones that plug your ears. They block out most of the sound and are portable. They do sometimes feel uncomfortable after extended use, but it's a minor drawback.

Headphones are really my kind of sound plugin. And there are rumors that using earbuds can damage our eardrums. Another reason is, headphones look much cooler when you wear it than wearing earbuds.

I prefer headphones. they look cool. the prob is when they are oversized/bigger than your head you  will look like some megamind idiotic alien or whatever. esp when you are wearing a beanie.

Its hard to decide because if I'm out and about my headphones are the way to go since they dont fall out of my ear and it blocks out lots of noise but when I'm in bed and I wanna lie on one side, its uncomfortable to wear headphones and its so much easer to just wear one side of the earphone..
But overall I would choose headphones

i prefer headphones... i dont particularly like people to listen to what im listening so headphones are perfect for the job i also dont share my MP3 and as of yet no one has asked to listen to my music with one of my plugs so, im not sharing earwax as someone has stated above xD
